European Rhinoceros Beetle (Oryctes nasicornis)

One of the students found this exoskeleton of the European Rhinoceros Beetle. It eats the wood on dead stumps and saw dust. The student only found the exoskeleton so obviously something had eaten it. It is a massive flying beetle and one can see why it is named after the rhino.
