Dusky Thrush

I see the Dusky Thrush (Turdus naumanni) often in the parks and in my neighborhood. They usually are in open areas on the ground. I photographed this one in a farmer’s garden, but I have also seen them in Kita Senri Park and in the vacant lot across the street from my house. Many arrive in the fall from Siberia to woody hills and as the winter progresses, they make their way down to lower elevations. They also are winter residents in China.
